This may include the following procedures dependent upon unit/facility competency requirements such as enemas, vital signs, ice application, compresses, perineal care, rectal tube, sitz bath, unsterile sites, strain urine for stones, specimen collection, etc. Demonstrates the ability to follow the plan of care that assures patients receive consistent, competent, and ethical care, within legal standards of practice, while maintaining privacy and support for the patient’s value system. Provides care consistent with both verbal and/or written instructions.
