Experience in Addiction Medicine/ Primary Behavioral Health preferred. Familiarity with JCAHO and other indicated healthcare standards is preferred. The steps required to become a PMHNP begins by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and passing the NCLEX-RN exam.
