Responsibilities include: Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, weight, and oxygen saturation Obtaining detailed cardiovascular medical histories Preparing patients for provider examinations and diagnostic testing Assisting providers during examinations and minor in-office procedures Performing electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs) Preparing patients for cardiac diagnostic testing such as stress testing, echocardiography, and monitoring studies Explaining procedures and instructions to patients Supporting care coordination for patients with cardiac devices such as pacemakers or ICDs Administrative Medical Assistant Duties Administrative responsibilities support the coordination of cardiology care and clinic operations.
