Qualifications Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing required. Nurses hired on or after June 14, 2017, must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. Employees hired or transferred prior to established organizational BSN requirements will remain subject to the conditions outlined in their offer letter and applicable organizational policies. Experience Less than one (1) year of related nursing experience required. Licensure Current Florida Registered Nurse license, or eligibility for Florida RN licensure with confirmation of eligibility pending issuance upon receipt of Social Security Number. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required on the first day of employment. Additional department-specific certifications may include: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification Certifications must be obtained within department-specific timelines as required.
