Utilize available information management systems in daily practice for patient care and administrative duties. Coordinate and communicate with facility staff members to facilitate patient care. Accurately review and confirm completeness of patient chart and report any abnormalities to appropriate staff in a timely manner. Establish patient goals that are congruent with present and potential physical capabilities and behavioral patterns based on nursing diagnosis by developing outcome statements, criteria for measurement of goals and setting priorities for outcomes based on need. Effectively participate in planning care with other professional and nonprofessional personnel. Take appropriate action to prevent deterioration and alleviate discomfort in patients. Orient and serve as a preceptor of newly assigned nurses to these areas. Set up, operate, and monitor therapeutic and emergency equipment such as cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, vital sign monitors, and oxygen saturation monitors. Shall possess a current, active, full and unrestricted Registered Nurses (RN) licensed in Colorado or be able to practice using a nurse compact state or Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) license. Shall hold a national or state nursing license that is valid and current with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions. License must be unencumbered and remain in effect during contract employment. Shall have a current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate by the American Red Cross, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Job Summary: Under general supervision and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing and evaluation nursing care for patients and coordinating nurses care activities with other health care disciplines. Essential Responsibilities: Assessment: standard of performance: Performs accurate multi-system assessments, including; biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs and discharge planning needs. Identifies deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests. Reassesses patient throughout hospitalization. Performs complete discharge assessment. Planning: standard of performance: Develops an individual nursing plan of care. Nursing plan of care is sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient. Coordinates patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies. Develops patient teaching plan and documents on care plan or teaching plan. Appropriately delegates patient care activities based on patients condition and scope of practice of other health care providers. Established priories for patient care. Classifies acuity level of assigned patients. Implementation: standard of performance: Initiates appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of the medical and/or surgical patient. Bases nursing care on protocol in place for management of each patient. Correctly carries out the physicians plan of care. Accurately documents in the emr. Documents care according to policy and procedure. Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach when appropriate. Performs all necessary procedures correctly. Utilizes available teaching plans in addressing patient teaching needs. Accurately calculates and administers medications. Initiates appropriate measures in emergency situations. Evaluation: standard of performance: Evaluates assessment methods, plan of care, and patients response to treatment. Participates in unit quality assurance activities.

Job Summary and Qualifications As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Recovery Registered Nurse will work in a fast paced 12 bed unit and is responsible for the pre and post op care of Cath and EP Lab patients. You will provide assistance with electrophysiology interventional procedures in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. This position will monitor patients during recovery from procedures including coronary angiograms, coronary ablations and pacemakers. Assists physicians with procedures including cardioversions, TEEs and loop placements. Provides patient education as necessary. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including administration of medications, moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, circulating and scrubbing during EP procedures and other procedures scheduled in our invasive procedure labs. You will be responsible for helping to develop and implement systems to assure the smooth and efficient flow of patients for procedures in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
