Delivers competent, compassionate care to patients in pain according to policy and maintains a safe care environment. Administers medications accurately as ordered. Responds to unit and hospital code situations. Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients requiring oxygen support. Assists physicians with bedside procedures. Manages patient admissions, transfers, and discharges professionally. Verifies and signs off physician orders and obtains lab specimens as ordered. Evaluates the nursing care plan to ensure safe, competent care delivery. Other duties as assigned. LPN - LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - Shifts include Days 6-2, Evening 2-10, Nights 10-6a PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse to plan, monitor and provide nursing care to the residents within the facility. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the needs of each resident are met. Provide direct nursing care in addition to supervising and directing the care provided by CNA’s. As an LPN you will be responsible for providing residents assistance with ADLs and in the administration of their medications while overseeing staff.
