Correctly obtains and handles patient specimens and cultures. Properly documents medication and chemotherapy administration and age-specific nursing interventions performed. Evaluates and documents patients responses to all interventions and procedures carried out both on a physical and psychological basis Documents medication administration per unit policy. Documents changes from baseline assessment specific to the patient’s age. Documents and read back verbal orders from the physician in the order sheet and ensures cosignature in a timely manner per policy. Accurately and legibly documents using hospital approved abbreviations, appropriate signatures, titles, error corrections. Assures completeness of nursing documentation on the medical record at the time of discharge Appropriately uses equipment required. Willingly assists physicians as needed in an efficient manner Effectively responds to crisis situations and prevents patient deterioration by early intervention.
