Responsibilities Location: RMH and SMH inpatient areas The acute Inpatient Pain Service (IPS) RN works collaboratively with Anesthesia and Pain Medicine residents/fellows & consultants to manage post-surgical pain catheters and acute pain needs in various surgical populations at both RMC and SMC. IPS RNs are the primary contact for all phone calls related to the acute pain service during their shift.
