Virtua Home Care is a large, Medicare-certified home health agency that provides multidisciplinary skilled services in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties. Nurses are assigned to care teams in designated geographical territories. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with a minimum of one - year medical/surgical experience . Prior home health experience is preferred but is not required . As a Home Health RN, you will provide hands-on skilled nursing care for adult patients in their homes. Patient/caregiver education in disease management is an essential part of the nurse’s role to support and promote self-management skills. Schedule: PRN as needed to cover PTO and sick days Health Center Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00a - 4:00p What You’ll Do Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice. Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed. Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision). Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice. Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures. Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care. Performs other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred. Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required. Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services. Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites.
