Laurel and Willingboro locations are only outpatient units, whereas the Special Test Unit (STU) , located on the sixth floor in the main hospital is an outpatient and inpatient unit. All are run by the hospital largely to serve diagnostic and therapeutic needs of the Gastroenterology Division. The most common gastroenterology procedures are upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. In the pulmonary suite (STU only), endoscopy of the airway procedures is performed, and are commonly called bronchoscopy. All units are staffed by surgical schedulers, patient service representatives, nurses, and GI technicians. Anesthesiology is present for all GI procedures. Nurses rotate between the admission (Pre op), procedure suites, recovery (PACU) and pre-admission testing. They must be familiar with all roles and procedures in the GI Unit. Other duties as required Overview The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital is a pediatric facility that consists of several units that meet the diverse needs of pediatric patients: Pediatric unit, Pediatric Intermediate unit (PIMU), Pediatric Kostic Infusion Room (PKIR), and Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU). We provide care for pediatric patients aged 0 to 18 years. We offer subspecialty services through consultation and referral in areas such as Endocrinology, Genetics, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Surgery, Trauma, and Hematology. The Family-centered rounds are conducted daily with an interdisciplinary care team including physicians, professional nursing services, child life specialists, social services, and nutrition support. All our pediatric units are secured with restricted access for staff, with visitors gaining entry via monitored access. All pediatric patients wear security tags to assure their safety. Our facilities include a teen room, a spacious playroom for younger patients, and a family waiting room. Our Pediatric unit and PIMU have 38-bed capacity. The Pediatric unit is in Kellemen building on South 7th and offers 26 beds. Experience Required 2 years minimum RN pediatrics experience is required. Education Requirements Associates Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse). Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support). Current NJ-CNOR (Certified Nurse, Operating Room) preferred. Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS). Special Requirements Baylor must work every weekend (defined as two (2) 12 hour shifts from 7pm Friday to 7am Monday) as determined by patient care and unit staffing needs. Baylor nurses will work either Saturday/Sunday days, Friday/Saturday nights or Saturday/Sunday nights. Baylor nurses work twenty-four (24) hours every weekend and are paid for thirty six hours (24/36).

Reports must be submitted immediately when the reporting person has reasonable cause to believe that abandonment, abuse, financial exploitation, or neglect of a vulnerable adult has occurred. 6. Teaches the patient and family/caregiver self-care techniques as appropriate. Provides medication, diet and other instructions as ordered by the physician and recognizes and utilizes opportunities for health counseling with patients and families/caregivers. Works in concert with the interdisciplinary group. 7. Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient. 8. Assists the patient and family/caregiver and other team members in providing continuity of care. 9. Works in cooperation with the family/caregiver and hospice interdisciplinary group to meet the emotional needs of the patient and family/caregiver. 10. Attends interdisciplinary group meetings. CLINICAL RESEARCH NURSE II

Coordinate and facilitate the conduct of clinical research protocols which may be supported by NCI, industry, cooperative groups, or grant funded and investigator-initiated. Provide leadership in the management and operation of clinical research protocols to ensure research participant recruitment and accrual, protocol compliance, research participant safety and data quality. The position will work closely with the members of the clinical research team to develop effective tools for close monitor and reporting of trials accrual and coordinate the timely study activation and submission of protocol amendments. This position supports the Fox Chase Cancer Center Office of Clinical Research at Temple University Hospital, Main Campus or East Norriton and Buckingham Campuses. In addition, this position is expected to interact with the institutional investigators, other members of healthcare team, service line members and research participants/families in a manner, which supports the conduct of clinical trials. Flexibility in work schedule when possible, must be maintained to ensure coverage of study responsibilities.
