You will monitor , record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate . You will serve as a primary coordinator of the multidisciplinary team to ensure well-coordinated patient care. You will implement and document physician and nursing orders. You will assess and coordinate patients discharge planning needs with members of the multidisciplinary team. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Masters Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree 2 years experience Required. Description 6 Memorial is a 28 bed GI Surgery & Surgical Oncology Acute Care unit at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. Our interdisciplinary team provides evidence-based and high-quality care primarily to adult post-surgical patients with weight loss issue, gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, and complex non-cancer GI-related illnesses. Our surgical oncology physician leaders are under the Surgical Oncology Division . This division is affiliated with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. These physician leaders are nationally renowned for their expertise in improving colorectal, GI, and endocrine malignancy through clinical excellence, medical education, and research. Similarly, our GI physicians are known for their efforts in enhancing patient care for upper and lower gastrointestinal patients.
