Overview About the Role Leverages extensive subject matter expertise on clinical systems and knowledge of clinical operations and workflows to coordinate the activities of medical staff in the planning, development, implementation, and support of clinical information systems/solutions to improve the delivery of patient care and hospital operations. Works with clinical users to understand clinical information technology project needs. Recommends resource planning and support needs to ensure successful project implementation. Oversees the design and development of application programs from analysis to implementation and assists with these duties as needed. Creates system specification and workflow documents for new projects and/or features. Maintains existing specifications and project documents for complex clinical IT initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables. Coordinates the installation of software and/or hardware. Works in concert with other HST/IS&T Departments pertaining to the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that HST/IS&T standards are met. Qualifications What You’ll Bring Required: Bachelor’s Degree, with preference for Hospital Administration, a health related discipline (Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.), or related clinical field. Licensure in a clinical profession is required. Five (5) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates within a hospital environment. Extensive subject matter expertise on clinical systems and knowledge of clinical operations and workflows. Direct experience with electronic medical records is a plus; prior Epic experience is highly desirable.
