Job Summary The SICU is a 20 bed adult high acuity Intensive Care Unit. Patients are admitted from over 20 surgical and medical services. SICU is home to Adult Liver Transplant post-op patients and is a regional referral center for Adult ARDS/ECMO therapy. SICU is additionally home to UMHS Adult Rapid Response/Arrest Team. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will partner with the Clinical Nursing Director and the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the planning and management of the clinical and administrative operation of the Adult Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the University Hospital Adult Rapid Response Nursing Team (RRT). To provide leadership in the practice of nursing, emphasizing quality patient care, service, education and research. To assist in coordinating between management and patient care activities consistent with the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Center mission and goal statements. Required Qualifications* Required Educational Requirements Applicant must meet one of the following: Bachelors of Science in Nursing OR Associates degree or diploma in Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Minimum five (5) years RN experience. Minimum two (2) years recent (within the last 5 years) RN experience in a critical care setting. Completion of a Nurse Leadership certification within two (2) years of accepting this position or when eligible to certify, whichever comes first.
