The use of a patient’s protected health information should be limited to information needed for the specific task that is being performed or requested by the individual patient. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care Room patients and obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, height, weight, and BMI. Collect and document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures. Under supervision of provider, Assist during examinations and minor procedures. Administer immunizations as authorized and within scope of practice.
