These disorders can include urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other conditions that affect the pelvic floor and bladder. This provider is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing pelvic floor disorders in women. This role involves in-office treatments, patient education, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals including urogynecology physician, to provide comprehensive care.Responsibilities • Diagnose and treat pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and fecal incontinence. • Refer diagnosed urogynecologic surgical procedures to practice Urogynecologists • Develop and implement treatment plans that may include medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications. • Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options. • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, physical therapists, Urogynecologists, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Stay updated on the latest advancements in urogynecology. • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. • Participate in practice call coverage as required. • Order radiologic imaging or labs as indicated. • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
