RN- Intensive Care Unit

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) will assume responsibility and accountability for the adult and geriatric patients undergoing continuous monitoring for cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, and/or psychiatric diagnoses. The CCU RN will often be active participants in bedside procedures with physicians. He/She will be responsible for certain specialty equipment and procedures such as managing arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol, and performing peritoneal dialysis.
