We have two main campuses serving children and their families, one in Oakland and one in San Francisco, as well as satellite locations throughout Northern California. UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco and Children's Hospital Oakland have together created Northern California's largest network of pediatric providers and are the only hospitals in San Francisco and the East Bay dedicated solely to children. The Nurse Practitioner will serve as a frontline provider for Hematology, Oncology & BMT patients at Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland providing care in 10-12-hour AM & PM shifts. Exceptions will be made to flex to outpatient when the operational need of the department dictates. The Nurse Practitioner will act as an independent member of the team, taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient pediatric Hematology, Oncology & BMT patients. This team member will meet productivity expectations as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that are appropriate and clearly delineated. UCSF nurse practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice providers (APPs) who possess the education, national board certification, California licensure, knowledge, clinical skills, and experience necessary to provide evidence-based patient care in their area of clinical practice.
