Position Summary : The purpose of this position is to render professional nursing care to residents; to follow facility policies and procedures to implement treatment orders; to assess resident treatment needs and take appropriate action; and to maintain residents’ medical records. Experience and Education : Current and valid New Jersey L.P.N. License with no present or prior restrictions and/or suspensions, and have not had any other professional license suspension and/or been revoked from practice. Responsibilities for Unit Manager: Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit. Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning. Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing. Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing. Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs. Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit. Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement. Qualifications for Unit Manager: Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Pennsylvania. Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
