Qualifications for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Current, unencumbered active LPN license in the state of PA . Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. Short Description The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Overview The Labor and Delivery unit has 6 labor rooms, 1 treatment room, and 2 high risk maternal advanced care beds. There are also 2 designated operating rooms and 2 PACU bays. The unit specializes in labor and delivery of uncomplicated and high-risk pregnancies. The Obstetrical Triage unit consists of 7 triage bays as well as 2 non-stress test chairs. Any patient 16 weeks pregnant or greater to 6 weeks post-partum is seen in OB Triage. Patients are seen for various complaints as well as for iron/blood infusions, and Rhogam injections. Experience Required 1 year minimum Labor & Delivery experience as an RN required. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse); Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers); certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS). Position Registered Nurse RN - Operating Room Shift 7:00am - 5:30pm, 4 - 10 hour shifts weekly Experience At least one (1) year of recent Operating Room Nurse experience is required . Education RN Diploma, ASN required. BSN preferred. Licensures/Certifications PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.
