Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology Location : Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia, PA) Schedule : Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40hrs a week Position Summary Fox Chase Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or CRNP) to join our Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology. This role is ideal for someone interested in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the oncology continuum, with a primary focus on GI from diagnosis through treatment and long-term follow-up. The APP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including gastroenterology physicians and fellow APPs at Fox Chase to provide a full array of diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative gastrointestinal services to patients with and without cancer. The position is primarily an outpatient clinic care, with independent clinic settings and an occasional cross coverage for inpatient consults. Areas Of Clinical Focus Some general diagnoses including: Constipation, Diarrhea, GERD, Dysphagia, Nausea/vomiting, Abnormal LFTs, Abdominal pain, GI bleeding/anemia evaluation, Pancreatic cyst surveillance, colitis or hepatitis, Malnutrition/weight loss, Biliary obstruction and jaundice Treatment of these diagnoses including mix of routine GI conditions, treatment-related complications, and symptom management issues that arise in patients with cancer. Job Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To) Conducting outpatient clinic visits independently and alongside faculty, including: New patient consultations Follow up visits Referral for endoscopic procedures, as indicated and needed Reviewing and interpreting imaging, pathology, and laboratory results to guide care decisions Coordinating care across a multidisciplinary team Educating patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and supportive care Participating in tumor boards, case discussions, and team-based initiatives Engaging in quality improvement and professional development opportunities Schedule & Benefits 5 days/week, 40 hours with opportunity to transition to 4, 10 hour days a week Competitive compensation and benefits Opportunities for continuing education, leadership development, and clinical growth Preferred Qualifications Previous medical, surgical, or oncology experience is preferred, but not required Strong background in GI disorders preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-based, high-acuity environment Ability to function effectively in independent clinic setting with collaborative physician.
