Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living, independent living, and memory care facilities. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration, and other clinical tasks requiring anatomy and physiology knowledge. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the healthcare environment to prevent infections and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is highly desirable. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to provide compassionate support for seniors or individuals with disabilities. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Certification or licensing as required by state or local regulations for Medical Technicians is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary. Excellent communication skills combined with a respectful approach toward patients’ privacy rights under HIPAA regulations. : Medication Technician Position: Part-Time-Midnight Shift Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Wellness Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administer medications to the residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. Primary Responsibilities for Medication Technician: Administers medications according to the physician order on the medication administration record (MAR). Documents medications administered on the MAR in accordance with company policy. Checks MARs immediately after administration and prior to end of shift to ensure documentation is complete and accurate. Conducts change of shift report with oncoming/outgoing shift personnel. Maintains security of medication cart and narcotic keys during entire shift. Conduct narcotic count at the beginning and end of every shift in accordance with company policy and procedure. Completes housekeeping tasks such as bed-making, linen changes, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning bathroom. Washing residents’ laundry as needed. Follows-up with appropriate staff, residents, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns. Acts as ambassador and public relations representative to guests and other off-campus visitors. Communicates with physicians and third party specialists, such as homecare providers, labs and hospice professionals. Copies special paperwork or forms.
