The Nurse is responsible for promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for clients all clients of BriteLife Recovery. At BriteLife Recovery, we offer a unique opportunity for nurses to maintain their therapeutic relationships with their patients without the chaos and unsafe staffing ratios that are common in the hospital setting. There are no bedpans, IVs, or bed alarms and all clients perform their own ADLs. What tasks are required? Assists clinical team with the Admissions process; Administers medications, treatments and procedures according to standard nursing practices and applicable facility policies; Carries out a plan of care and medication orders from Physicians and Nurse Practitioners; Educates clients regarding potential side effects of medications and observes for side effects; Monitors clients for substance misuse related withdrawal symptoms; Maintains electronic health records (EHR); Provides crisis management (often involving intoxicated clients); Positively promotes BriteLife Recovery to prospective clients and employees. Maintains resident’s confidentiality and privacy. Assures quality of care by adhering to DDAP standards of practice and facility standards of care. Assists with solving resident’s problems by working with the interdisciplinary team. What we need from you? Current LPN or RN license in good standing in Pennsylvania. Experience with documentation and data entry within an EHR. Experience working with alcohol or substance use treatment preferred. Demonstrated computer proficiency. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner. Ability to assess needs and deliver nursing services to individuals detoxifying from substance use. Ability to screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms. Ability to screen for danger to self or others. Ability to analyze and interpret data to determine nursing recommendations and priorities. Demonstrated adherence to acceptable ethical and behavioral standards of conduct. Participation in continuing Professional Development. Understanding of the benefits and limitations of toxicology testing procedures. Knowledge of strategies for treating alcohol, cocaine, and other drug use. Knowledge of medication-assisted therapy. Ability to provide education and information to individuals and groups, through formal and/or informal processes, concerning their substance use. OP Nurse Coordinator I

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM The Outpatient Nurse Coordinator is a Registered Nurse is a member of the care delivery team who is responsible for the care of the patient in a global view, accountable for multiple aspects of the patient care package even when patient contact is minimized. The Outpatient Nurse Coordinator uses independent judgment and continued communication with the patient, family, physician and community resources to assist the patient in attaining a measure of outpatient health. Hybrid Work from Home scheduling is available after an orientation period. Responsibilities: Actively engages in shared governance, quality improvement, change initiatives, and regulatory readiness. Provides leadership, supervision, mentorship, and serves as a key resource for staff, students, and the care team. Delivers holistic, coordinated, patient‑centered care, including assessment, triage, education, follow‑up, and care‑plan development. Builds positive, culturally sensitive relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary partners. Must also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures. Minimum 3 years nursing experience. BSN preferred. Previous Pediatric / Hematology / Oncology experience preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in practicing state. UPMC approved national certification preferred. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Registered Nurse (RN) Act 33 / 34 / 73 with renewal Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
