Overview The Clinical Decision Unit is on the first floor of the Kelemen building. We are a locked unit and require a badge to enter or ring the doorbell to be let in. The Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) is a35-bed, single-room unit.The patients are typically here for observation or if needed to be admitted as an inpatient they will stay in CDU until a floor bed is available. Multidisciplinary rounds are done Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. The Express Admit Unit (EXAU) is under the management of the CDU. There are 6-bed areas where the admitted patients stay until a floor bed is available. This gives them privacy and care while waiting for their room to be available. Both CDU and EXAU can have patients on telemetry for cardiac monitoring. Position Clinical Nurse Educator -Med/Surg and Telemetry units Shift Full-time, 40 hours per week; primarily day shift with approximately 20% off-shift coverage (evenings, nights, and weekends). Location: Riddle Hospital; occasional travel required for training/education. Experience Three to Five years of recent Telemetry Nurse experience required. Prior Clinical Nurse Educator or other related experience required. Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. At least one degree must be in nursing ( i.e. BSN or MSN ). Master's degree is strongly preferred. Licensures/Certifications PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact. Certification in Specialty is preferred. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
