As a 41-bed unit, it specializes in the care of patients with cardiac conditions and CHF. Many of the patients on are telemetry monitoring. This position is ideal for an experienced APP (minimum 3-5 years) who is comfortable managing complex, critically ill patients and thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making. Overview: As a Night Shift Critical Care APP , you will provide comprehensive overnight management of critically ill patients within the ICU. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment, interpretation of diagnostic studies, development and implementation of treatment plans, and responding to acute changes in patient status. Job Title/Position : Hospice On Call RN Reports To : Clinical Director JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY : The On-Call Hospice RN is responsible for responding to all of the Hospice patient census and their families, as well as handling any referrals or community inquiries outside of office hours (nights, weekends and holidays). The on-call nurse will provide urgent clinical and psychosocial interventions for patients and their families, skilled pain and symptom management and collaboration with providers within and outside of the hospice team to maximize positive patient outcomes. The work of the On-Call Hospice RN provides considerable consideration for independent assessment and judgement in crisis situations, utilizing and consulting with the Hospice Medical Director and administrator on call as indicated. Job Description The PICU is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Wilmington, DE. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Nemours Children's Health, Delaware is a 24-bed unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center. Patients requiring care and surveillance in the PICU will have conditions and diagnoses which may include, but are not limited to, those producing: acute and reversible loss of consciousness, respiratory failure, compromised air exchange, cardiovascular dysfunction, hepatic failure, hemodynamic instability, renal dysfunction, central nervous system injury or dysfunction, acute trauma and organ failure requiring transplantation. Treatments or interventions performed in the PICU include measures utilizing advanced life support technology. These include, but are not limited to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, ECMO, pharmacologic support of circulation, mechanical ventilation, point of care monitoring, CRRT, thoracentesis, and hemodynamic, intracranial pressure, intravascular monitoring. Each patient room has electrocardiographic, pulse oximetry, respiratory, hemodynamic and intracranial pressure monitoring capability, as well as central EKG and respiratory monitoring. Portable monitoring during patient transport is provided. Special equipment includes radiant warmer beds, heating/cooling blanket systems, Mapleson manual ventilation system, end tidal CO2 monitors, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring systems, intracranial pressure monitoring system, ventriculostomy systems, infusion pumps, blood warmer, continuous renal replacement systems, and peripheral nerve stimulators. Requirements Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Experienced pediatric intensive care nurse of at least 2 years preferred. Current Delaware or Multistate Compact License Must be CPR certified by the American Heart Association. PALS and ACLS preferred.
