Total cash compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. This role receives two types of compensation depending on the work being performed. When conducting visits, you will be paid per visit point rate compensation. Your per visit pay will be calculated by multiplying your per visit point rate by the productivity points you accrue for various types of visits. Each type of visit is assigned a certain number of productivity points that is inclusive of 'direct' and 'indirect' patient care activities. Visits are assigned based on patient and business needs. The number of visits performed each week will vary based on individual productivity targets and the productivity points assigned to the visits performed. Nurse Practitioner - Complex Care Services Department Summary Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to function in the inpatient Complex Care Service (CCS) at Boston Children’s Hospital. CCS is a long-standing and nationally regarded inpatient service in Pediatric Hospital Medicine within the Division of General Pediatrics that serves hospitalized children with medical complexity, who have complex chronic conditions and functional limitations. Common reasons for admission to CCS include infections (aspiration pneumonia, pyelonephritis), chronic condition exacerbations (epilepsy, digestive dysmotility), and post-operative recovery following surgery (baclofen pump placement, gastrostomy, spinal fusion, etc.). This role will provide patient evaluation, assessment, and facilitate care for the patients on the CCS service and will implement interventions tailored to improve systems for patient care and enhance patient safety for this population. The CCS APRN will work collaboratively with supervising physicians, pediatric trainees (residents and fellows), and the entire nursing team to promote optimal clinical care. This APRN will act as a clinical resource, facilitating staff educational opportunities. The setting is fast-paced and collaborative with many opportunities for learning. Requirements include completion of a master’s degree program in Nursing. Clinical experience with children with medical complexity is preferred.
