Coordinates onsite orientation for new clinical staff and completes clinical skills and orientation checklists in collaboration with the Site Manager. Assists with annual competency validation and performance evaluations and ensures completion of required in-services. Supports ongoing staff performance improvement, development, and addresses performance concerns through coaching and education. Researches and recommends equipment purchases, including pricing and vendor options. Orders and maintains supplies and equipment and coordinates maintenance as needed. Maintains clinical areas, including exam, treatment, x-ray, and lab spaces as applicable. Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and MSDS requirements. Trains staff on safety practices and ensures completion of annual health requirements. Assists with referral authorizations, specialist consultations, and preauthorizations for tests and ancillary services as needed. Contributes to Carilion Clinic’s performance improvement activities. What We Require: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a physician office setting required. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required. AHA BLS-HCP required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Basic computer skills required, including the ability to utilize electronic patient records.
