This is a fixed term position for 6 months. General surgery patients range from premature infants to young adults. Common conditions seen include emergency, acute, and chronic surgical conditions, infant and congenital surgical conditions, colorectal and intestinal conditions, tumors, and vascular lesions and vascular associated syndromes. The general surgery department also has numerous specialty outpatient programs including aerodigestive and airway reconstruction center, adolescent bariatric surgery, chest wall program, colorectal and bowel management program, intestinal failure and short gut program, and pilonidal disease program. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in the whole spectrum of surgical patient care from outpatient clinical evaluation, specialty clinic evaluation, and inpatient rounding and management of post/preoperative patients.
