Financial Performance: Participate in unit strategies to ensure the financial well-being of the organization and how the unit's day to day clinical operations impact the overall financial state of YNHH. 3.1 Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial forecast related to organizational mission, vision, and values and organizational strategic business plan. 4. Quality and Safety: A key leader who role models and supports excellence in clinical practice and promotes a culture of safe, high quality care on the unit/department. This will achieve superior outcomes. 4.1 Ensures unit/ area visibility by conducting regular patient, staff and leader rounding. 5. Service Excellence: Ensures the delivery of Patient and Family Centered Care (PFCC) at YNHH by working with patients and their families based on the four principles of PFCC: Participation, Dignity and Respect, Information Sharing, and Collaboration. Patient Flow: Serve as clinical leader under direction of APSM, working in collaboration with the charge nurse, front desk and checkout, and medical teams, and other members of the healthcare team and ancillary services to ensure safe patient flow (in all care settings). Oversees safe patient flow is maintained related to clinical support staff in outpatient urology while ensuring safety and efficiency. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor's degree is required: Master's preferred (One degree must be in nursing.) EXPERIENCE Two years of clinical nurse experience and a minimum of 1 year leadership/supervisory experience (this may include committees, charge role, project management or other experiences that demonstrate leadership qualities. LICENSURE Current CT state RN licensure and/or eligibility for CT state RN licensure required. Specialty certification preferred or willing to obtain within 18 months of hire. Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric ICU

Job Description UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital is recognized throughout the world as a leader in health care, known for innovation, technology and compassionate care. UCSF has one of the top children's hospitals in the nation, according to a ranking by U.S. News & World Report. Our 183-bed UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital has more than 150 specialists in more than 40 areas of medicine. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital provides extraordinary high-level care for children who require continuous monitoring. The unit has 20 beds for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. More than 1,000 children per year are admitted into the intensive care units at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital arriving via ambulance, helicopter and airplane from throughout the western United States. The Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCUP) is a 18-bed unit for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. The TCU provides care to patients with a moderate to high complexity of disease such as those recovering from solid organ transplantation, titration of anticoagulant therapy and other infusion, and post-operative specialty surgery care (ENT, neurosurgery). Patients requiring respiratory support including BIPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula and patients requiring mechanical ventilation with tracheostomy in place are also routinely admitted to the TCUP. The Nurse Practitioner will act as a full member of the team taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care in collaboration with attending physicians, fellows and residents. This team member will meet productivity expectations as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that are appropriate and clearly delineated. Nurse Practitioners on the PICU and TCUP Team provide care in rotating 12h shifts.
