The Surgical Clearinghouse is a call center that provides a central location for peri-operative coordination of care. A team of clinical nurses contacts the patients and families 7-10 days prior to their scheduled surgery date to resolve any issues that could potentially be barriers on the day of surgery. Nurses also educate families on the pre-operative processes, expectations for the day of surgery, and pre-operative care. Collaboration with our social work department, surgery clinics, and surgeons allow for all issues to be resolved prior to arrival on the day of surgery. Overview Department: Inpatient Wound Care Shift’s Available: Days Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 8hr – 8:00am to 5:00pm Location: St Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO We are seeking an Inpatient Wound Care RN, which is also referred to as a Wound Care, Ostomy, or Continence Nurse (WOC). The Wound Care RN will specialize in assessing and treating skin breakdown and wounds in a clinic setting. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will also be consulted during a patients stay in a hospital for a wound or pressure injury, we are also consulted for ostomy care. The Wound Care RN will also be responsible for determining the proper course of treatment and interacting with services in the community to continually care for the wound care patient.
