Shift: Day shift and night shift positions available Schedule: Per Diem Primary Duties And Responsibilities Deliver direct oncology nursing care, including comprehensive assessment, individualized care planning, symptom management, and evaluation of patient outcomes for adult oncology patients and families. Administer antineoplastic agents and supportive therapies per protocols and ONS standards; verify orders, complete independent double checks, and monitor for and manage infusion reactions and adverse events. Manage central venous access devices (e.g., ports, PICCs); perform access, maintenance, blood draws, and blood product transfusions per policy; ensure safe use of infusion equipment and PPE. Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment plans, self-care, side-effect management, and discharge instructions; coordinate multidisciplinary resources and community referrals. Document care in Epic in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards; maintain accurate medication administration records, flowsheets, and patient education documentation. Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence , the Unit Manager oversees nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensures residents receive comprehensive, person-centered care. Responsibilities for Unit Manager: Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit. Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning. Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing. Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing. Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs. Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit. Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement. Qualifications for Unit Manager: Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of Massachusetts. Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
