Graduate Nurses (GNs) must have applied for or obtained authorization to take the NCLEX and secure New Mexico RN licensure within 60 days of hire. Upon successfully passing the NCLEX and completing all Graduate Nurse competency requirements, the incumbent must transition to an RN Inpt or RN Outpt position. The transfer will be processed at the first available effective date. During the transition period, the Graduate Nurse will continue to perform duties under the current job description. Failure to successfully pass the NCLEX will result in an automatic demotion to the Tech Patient Care II position, with appropriate reduction in pay. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.
