Registered Nurse Floater needed in the Bronx Full time position, IRA Residences! Work hours: Flexible. Our client has various IRA locations throughout the Bronx in need of RN's. Flexible Schedule: 40 hours per week – any 5 days per week – 8 hours per day...the 8 hours can be any 8 hours between the hours of 8am-8pm. You may also choose to work Saturday or Sunday as part of your work schedule. Weekend work is not required. Responsibilities -Coordinate medical care for assigned individuals, monitor and assess health needs including arranging for follow-up care as needed. -Assessment by direct observation on consumer health status. Observe observation for signs and symptoms of discomfort, distress or illnesses. Evaluation of physical status changes for exacerbation of existing conditions, onset of disease, and/or responses to care and treatment. Documentation and follow up of all findings. -Communicate with physicians, families, interdisciplinary team members and clinicians involved in providing services to individuals. -Communicate and follow up on consumer hospitalizations, emergency room visits, reports of injury, trauma, accidents, illness, distress and other health issues as individually required. -Accompany individuals on medical appointments when necessary to advocate for and discus health issues. Communicate with team members as to findings. -In urgent/emergent situations, you may receive phone calls outside of routine working hours regarding individuals assigned to your caseload. -Attend meetings with management, staff, families, and clinicians to discuss any health-related issues regarding consumers served. -Develop individual specific nursing plans and protocols as needed. Update and revise these documents to reflect changes in consumer status. -Supervises AMAP administration of prescribed medication and routine treatments in accordance with federal and state regulations and agency policy. Administers STAT medication and treatments as prescribed. Participates in in-services and trains AMAPs as needed. Completed AMAP certification, recertification and decertification processes as necessary. -Perform other duties as assigned. Likewise, the Saginaw facility operates as a comprehensive Stroke Center, treating complex neurological cases from across the region. This role demands a high degree of autonomy, critical thinking, and adaptability, as it involves floating between multiple facilities - often within the same work week. The night shift schedule further necessitates independent decision-making and proactive patient management to ensure optimal outcomes in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. This is a more complex and demanding nursing role than standard inpatient positions, offering a dynamic and challenging opportunity. Responsibilities (30%) * Regularly assesses patients/clients needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice. Description The Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service setting such as inpatient, procedural, emergency department or ambulatory care. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements. The Nurse Manager collaborates with multiple professionals to support and coordinate the provision / management of patient care.
