General Purpose of Job: The staff nurse (RN) is a professional Registered Nurse who provides direct nursing care to assigned patient population. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. POSITION SUMMARY The MST Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Med/Surg/Tele units, ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care. This role oversees daily clinical operations, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of service excellence and professional development. The MST Manager partners closely with Clinical Supervisors, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, maintain labor efficiency, and uphold standards in documentation, patient safety, and core quality measures. They play a key role in staff recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and competency validation, ensuring a skilled and engaged workforce capable of meeting evolving unit needs.
