Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives. Performs a variety of patient assessment/care tests (e.g. EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color blindness, etc.) in accordance with established protocols. Makes independent wound assessments and performs complex wound care and dressing changes, including placement or changing of wound vac); removes sutures or staples after wound assessment by a Provider. Inserts and/or removes tubes, drains, urinary catheters, including removal of peripherally-inserted central catheter (PICC); applies splints/braces. Instructs patients in the collection of samples and other tests; ensures that patient or family understands follow-up and referral information. Informs patients of lab results, calls in prescriptions to pharmacies and returns practitioners’ phone messages. Responsibilities As a Home Health Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of Home Health professionals with a passion for caring for Valley patients in the safest place to them, their home. Averaging 35-30 visits per week, you'll have the unique opportunity to focus on the continuum of care for a wide acuity of patients, including establishing a plan of care. Qualifications Education & Experience Graduation from a School of Nursing or successful completion of sufficient units in Nursing to qualify for state licensure required 1 year of acute care experience required Licenses and Certifications RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required DL - Valid California Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System required Have questions?
