Will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations, sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidence based practice. Registered Nurse, Transport Team, 0.9FTE Nights, 6PM-6AM This position will float to the following locations: Main Hospital, North Clinic in Everett, South Clinic in Federal Way. As an integral member of the Transport Team, the Transport RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by Washington State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children's Hospital policies/procedures and guidelines of care. Responsible for the safety of patients prior to and during transport to medical care facilities. This includes the provision of basic patient care as well as advanced life support measures required to stabilize the critically ill or injured patient, demonstration of proficiency in neonatal and pediatric critical care nursing and knowledge of the adaptations necessary for patient management in the ambulance or aircraft and during transit. The Transport Nurse must also be familiar with ambulance and aircraft operating procedures and safety practices. Assists in meeting Seattle Children's strategic goals by incorporating the initiatives to support the strategic plans into the daily work, i.e. Continuous Improvement and Innovation (CII), ART, etc. The Transport RN serves as a team lead within the mobile transport team and may be required to provide supervision and delegation to other Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, or Emergency Medical Technicians who are members of the mobile transport team.
