SUMMARY OF POSITION: We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Genetics team, providing care for both pediatric and adult patients. This role includes new encounters, follow-up care, and serving as the primary provider for adults with phenylketonuria (PKU), educating patients on current treatments such as restricted diets, oral cofactors, and enzyme replacement therapies. The ideal candidate enjoys learning in a specialty with continually expanding knowledge, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Experience with metabolic disorders is preferred but not required. Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Required. Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage pediatric and adult patients with genetic conditions Serve as primary provider for adult PKU patients Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Stay current with advances in genetics and metabolic disorders MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): Master's Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required. Two (2) years’ work experience as an RN required. Current license to practice as a CRNP by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required. BLS certification required. WHY PENN STATE HEALTH?
