As a Registered Nurse Free Standing Emergency Room - Olathe, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. Youll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. Job Summary and Qualifications Our freestanding emergency departments offer experienced emergency nurses the opportunity to continue practicing high-quality emergency care in a smaller, community-based setting. Compared with a large hospital emergency department, the environment often provides a more manageable and predictable patient flow, a close-knit care team, and greater opportunity for individualized patient education and connection. You will continue to use your emergency nursing skills while caring for patients across a wide range of conditions. Because the department operates with a smaller on-site team, nurses also practice with a high level of autonomy, collaboration, and accountability. Patients requiring a higher level of care are stabilized and transferred to the appropriate hospital setting. This may be an ideal opportunity for an experienced emergency nurse who enjoys emergency medicine but is seeking a more focused practice environment with supportive leadership and strong team relationships.
