Ensure a Continuous Quality Improvement Program is in place and that appropriate follow-up occurs. Ensure new care team members are effectively oriented; ensure an ongoing educational program is in place. Develop goals and objectives for the department; motivate and manage care team members to accomplish the same. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as a RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Must hold an active CPR license or ability to obtain within the first 30-days of hire; CPR license must be kept active and current throughout employment. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required. Three year of nursing experience, of which one year in a long-term care environment. Must have at least two years supervisory experience. Job Description Summary ART OR Monday-Friday 10:30am-11PM, 3-12hr shifts with minimal call. Ashley River Tower (ART) perioperative services is located on the fourth floor of the ART building. The ART operating room offers adult outpatient and inpatient surgeries through various surgical service lines including general, plastics, oncology, cardiac, thoracic, heart and lung transplants, vascular, colorectal, bariatric, and robotics. Operations are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm. General, Vascular, and Cardiothoracic call teams are available to cover emergency cases prior to the posted schedule times and on the weekends. There is 24-hour charge nurse coverage for after hours and weekends. The clinical programs that service ART are recognized for excellence in cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, transplant surgery, as well as general and GI surgery and is nationally recognized for management of chronic pancreatitis, and bariatric surgery. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed. Qualifications High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility. Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications. When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry. Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license.
