Overview For Inpatient assignment, assists the attending physician in the care and management of patients on Inpatient units within the hospital. Involve self or provider for problems arising on shift with patients or parents. Advocates on behalf of patients/families and personnel, promoting adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. Acts as a resource for patients and families working towards resolution of ethical issues. Initiate’s ethics consult when appropriate.
