Overview Alliance Cancer Specialists , the largest community-based oncology practice in Southeastern PA, is growing our Operations team! We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The perfect candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented individual excited join our hardworking team here at Alliance. This position will primarily be located at our Glenn Mills & Riddle offices. Under supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, involved in the care of individuals, families and patient groups who are dealing with cancer or other related diagnosis. This care may be in clinic or virtually, via telemedicine. Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, patient care, management, and research. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, patient educator, administrator, or researcher. Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients. Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated. Performs procedures with minimal supervision. Assesses patient/family needs and provides education. Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. Often incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice. Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements. Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion. Likely to provide case management for patients and their families. Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials. May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
