Performs assessment and maintenance of central lines, PICC lines, and Port-a-caths, Groshong catheters, etc. including flushes and blood draws per established protocols. Participates in performance improvement activities to evaluate and improve patient care. Promotes an environment that encourages individual growth and heightens professional practice. Participates in professional growth and self-development activities to ensure accountability for own professional nursing practice. Participates in staff meetings, committees and special projects; actively contributes to the needs of Grand Itasca Outpatient Care Services and Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital. Performs and assists with patient care, assessment and education as needed, including but not limited to: Performs IV Therapy including fluid infusions, antibiotic infusions, blood products, albumin, and medication infusions per protocol. Coordinates and administers chemotherapy to patients via oral, IV push, IV infusion, or bladder installation according to safety standards developed by the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Performs assessment and maintenance of central lines, PICC lines, and Port-a-caths, Groshong catheters, etc. including flushes and blood draws per established protocols.
