Surgical Technologists, sometimes called “scrub techs”, assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and Registered Nurses. They help to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintain a sterile field. Surgical Technologists perform a variety of functions, such as checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, performing appropriate counts, draping the sterile field, passing instruments to the surgeon and assistant during the procedure, preparing sterile dressing and cleaning instruments for terminal sterilization. This is a great hands-on learning opportunity that will allow you to enhance your skills each and every day. A caregiver in this position works variable days and hours between 7:00AM – 11:30PM, with on-call requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Set up the sterile table and ensure appropriate supplies, drugs and equipment are available. Assists RN in counting all sponges, instruments, etc. at appropriate times during surgery. Assist in gowning and gloving surgical team members and draping patients. Ensure aseptic condition is maintained by the scrubbed surgical team through the procedure. Participate in the intraoperative “timeout.” Collect, identify and label specimens removed during surgical procedures and give specimens to circulator for disposition. Answer patient phone calls, gather information and relay to the provider. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) OR completion of a military surgical technology program OR certification as a Surgical Technologist (acceptable certifications for this route are TS-C through the National Center for Competency Training or CST through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Certified Surgical Technologist Trauma center experience Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Position Title: Experienced RN - Registered Nurse - Transport/Flight - Oklahoma Children's Hospital - Nights Department: EMS/Emergency Transport Job Description: General Description : The Transport Registered Nurse (RN) provides quality nursing care, treatment, and stabilization of critically ill patients, in conjunction with fellow team members, during transport. Supports the patient logistics aspect of the team and patients, as needed. Must maintain total flight weight limit according to current vendor policy throughout employment in the role. Total weight is measured with full uniform, helmet, coat and equipment as one would weigh in the aircraft with full uniform. Position Overview: The CNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The CNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible. Key Responsibilities: • To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). • Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy. • Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities). • Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately. • Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition. • Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions. • Keep resident rooms neat and safe. • Follow proper infection control techniques • Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality. • Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills. • Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs. • Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community. • Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly. • Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately. Qualifications: • Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing. We are looking for an LPN to join our occupational health team! The current schedule for this position is 7 am- 4 pm Monday-Friday. $5,000 Sign-on Bonus What You'll Do: Ensures all patient paperwork and records are reviewed and processed correctly and timely to expedite patient care; processes all required forms and medical records and utilizes software systems to input data and statistics for electronic management of patient and claims; responsible for patient claims processing and management; ensures physician and clinical team are kept informed of all patient care and claim updates. Provides delegated patient care (i.e. Data collection, administer medications, applies and changes dressings, cleans wounds, takes vital signs, etc.) to assigned group of patients utilizing established standards of nursing care; provides nursing services in accordance with industrial and occupational health standards; provides emergency nursing care to industrial injury outpatients; ensures duties are completed in a timely manner, reported and documented; under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Sets up, stocks and maintains supplies and equipment as needed for patient care; checks supplies for outdated items and returns to appropriate department when necessary; performs Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard audiometric screens, collects specimens for drug/alcohol screens; collects blood and/or urine as ordered; performs respiratory fit testing; performs breath alcohol tests as requested. Documents nursing care given using established forms; accurately reports results of medications and treatments; recognizes potential/actual complications and reports and records them immediately; documents all progress in patient medical records; contributes to planning & implementing patient educational/instructional needs as delegated by and observed by the Registered Nurse.
