Minimum of 6 months’ career level experience in a pediatric hemodialysis setting within the last 2 years. The motivation to become a participant on a team dedicated to effective, safe patient care. Willingness to learn and flexibility in assignments – this job will require both inpatient and outpatient care. Aptitude for care of the patient with renal failure. Ability to communicate effectively with pediatric patients and families. Exposure and/or hands-on experience with computers, familiar with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook. Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center dialysis locations – Mission Bay, Parnassus Heights, Mount Zion, Stanyan and Hyde. Preferred Qualifications Experience in both inpatient and outpatient dialysis. Specialty certification in nephrology nursing (CNN) College-level degree in Nursing (BSN, MSN) from an Accredited School of Nursing. Licenses/Certifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of CA. Current American Heart Association CPR Certification.
