JOB DUTIES Establishes preliminary diagnoses of physical abnormalities under the direction of the supervising physician as per guidelines. Recommends for further testing and examinations to appropriate cooperating services, (i.e., hospitals, clinical laboratories, radiological services, and other technical or specialized services. Medical management would include EKG, reviewing patients past medical history, family history, social history, history of present illness, reviewing patient symptoms, review of systems, assessment/medical examination and plan for continued care of the patient. This includes scheduling patients for further testing including but not limited to echocardiograms, stress test, radiologic studies and laboratory studies. Medication management as well as referrals to other providers as necessary. Physician Assistant will review test results with the patient and also provide counseling and coordination of their care. Physician assistant will also follow patients within the hospital as consulted, document, place orders and order testing as appropriate.
