191906 We are looking for a Pediatric Home Care Registered Nurse to work for one of our clients, a multi-service home care organization (CHHA), for their pediatric patients in Queens, NY. This is a permanent, full-time job. Monday - Friday, 38.5 hrs/week. Sign-on Bonus of $15,000 paid after 15 months of employment. In this role you would be responsible for traveling to a patient’s home to administer healthcare services and helping patients maintain their independence. Caseload - 20-25 patients per week. An ideal candidate would be a graduate of accredited school of nursing, and currently registered in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse and have experience with pediatric population. Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To Assess and chart observations of the patient’s condition at each visit. Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs. Administer Physician-prescribed medication. Dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress. Provide education to patients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategies. Coordinate with Physicians, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and other individuals in the patient’s care plan. Keep the patient comfortable through palliative care. Works collaboratively with other disciplines within and outside of the department including Physician Advisors, Vendors, Providers, Member’s Primary Care Physicians, and other Specialists as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and timely provision of services. The registered Nurse will provide high-quality customer service. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Bachelors preferred. Current New York State RN License required. A minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred; relevant managed care healthcare experience may be considered in lieu of clinical nursing experience. Knowledge of Utilization management processes is required. Prior managed care experience is required. Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations is required. Knowledge of current standards of medical practice and healthcare delivery systems. Working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, effective organizational, and time management skills. Good analytic abilities. Min USD $90,000.00/Yr. Max USD $110,000.00/Yr.
