The unit provides ground and air transport services, with NNPs managing in-house care for transported infants upon arrival. Collaboration and Education: Collaborate with neonatologists, fellows, residents, medical students, advanced practice providers, and nursing colleagues to deliver coordinated, family-centered care. Engage in clinical teaching, bedside instruction, and mentoring of interdisciplinary learners, contributing to the hospital’s academic mission and culture of continuous learning. Rounds and Documentation: Conduct and document daily rounds, assessments, and care plans for assigned patients using the electronic medical record (EMR), ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Family Support: Educate and support families regarding infant care, development, and discharge planning, promoting family-centered care principles.
