Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion or preventative health care. Assists physicians in formulating therapeutic decisions. Maintains appropriate records, and prepares charts for review and counter signature by physician. Prepares and cares for supplies and equipment. Responds to emergency situations. Performs within the scope of practice prescribed by licensure and certification. Performs other duties as assigned. Providence Medical Group - Northwest is seeking a full-time predominantly Cardiac Electrophysiology nurse practitioner or physician assistant in Everett, Washington. Some General Cardiology work is expected. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding and well-supported team. Work closely with an Electrophysiologist who is willing to train. You will have the opportunity to scrub in EP procedures with the provider. Position involves some General Cardiology coverage but is primarily EP. Candidates with previous nursing experience in the Critical Care Unit, Telemetry, or Cardiac Nursing Unit will also be considered. The clinic is based on the campus of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, located just 25 miles north of downtown Seattle. The responsibilities include outpatient EP clinic, inpatient EP consultation, General Cardiology weekend coverage and EP provider in-basket management. Schedule is 4 days a week, ten-hour days, no night call and approximately 1 in 7 weekends (weekends are included as part of the 4-day rotation). General Summary of Position Provides comprehensive or episodic evaluation of patients such as history and physicals as well as providing care to assigned patients. Assesses diagnoses documents findings. Writes medical orders and/or prescriptions. Makes clinical decisions relative to patient management through collaboration with physicians. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards.
