The NP is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of both acute and chronic medical conditions within the hospital setting. The NP will demonstrate clinical expertise, critical thinking, and leadership in delivering patient-centered care in accordance with Gateway Regional Medical Center policies, professional standards, and state regulations. The NP functions autonomously and in collaboration with the supervising physician to ensure safe, high-quality care. This role requires proficiency in obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications and therapies as appropriate. Certification Qualifications: Required: Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Illinois. Required: National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in applicable specialty area (e.g., FNP, AGACNP, PMHNP, etc.).
