Overview 5 Sutherland is a general medical/surgical unit that cares for patients with renal and liver disease, and those requiring inpatient rehabilitation. Patient diagnoses can include acute kidney and liver injury to end stage disease, including dialysis and transplant. Rehabilitation patients often have a diagnosis of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other injury/disease requiring inpatient rehab.
