What you need to know about this position: Having a baby is one of life's most important experiences, and our Birthing Center provides a full range of delivery services to support needs before, during and after giving birth. Our Birthing Center team of experienced nurses and doctors welcome over 1,200 babies each year. A new Registered Nurse in this unit will have an hourly base rate starting at $33.34. An experienced Registered Nurse can expect an hourly base rate in the top 25% of nurses in the region. RN positions are eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums. In this position you would be scheduled to work 2 -12-hour night shifts (24 hours/week, considered part-time) with start/end times of 7:00pm-7:30am with a holiday and weekend requirement. With at least 16 hours per week, this position is benefit eligible. What is required for this position: Upon hire, you must have: Associate of Nursing (ASN) or equivalent required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required. Within 30 days of hire you must have (CRH provides training & time to acquire certification after employment): Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. At least 2 years of Birthing Center experience is preferred. This position requires frequent standing, walking, talking and listening and lifting or moving more than 50 lbs.

Though the list of diagnoses enrolled in Hospital at Home continues to expand, common disease states include acute pneumonia, cellulitis, COVID-19, urinary tract infection, dehydration, or exacerbations of chronic conditions, such as heart failure or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. For many patients, the program provides an alternative to the traditional hospital setting and results in improved patient outcomes and satisfaction. The Hospital at Home team is looking for motivated nurses with critical thinking skills, acute care experience, and an interest in serving the Parkland community. Primary Purpose The RN is a licensed professional who uses the Parkland nursing professional practice model to coordinate acute patient care delivery in the patient home. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient in their environment, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient needs and providing healthcare in the home environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays.
